The Commodore 64 was a home computer that was released to the world in 1982. Commodore sold over 30 million C64 computers between 1982 and 1993. It is still to this day the most sold computer in history.
It used a fixed palette of 16 colors
The computer had several graphics modes and my images here are using the multicolor mode.
In this mode the screen is divided into 4x8 pixel squares. Each square can then use three colors plus the background color that was chosen in each of these squares.
The images I've drawn also use two columns of sprites on each side of the screen. This is not an official graphics mode but something that is new and still works on the computer.
